The Big Event
The Big Event is a non-need-based student group that connects the KU campus with the Lawrence community. By recruiting thousands of student, faculty, and staff volunteers to work at hundreds of local job sites on one day of service, we are able to say thank you to the community that surrounds us year-round. The Big Event volunteers provide a helping hand to Lawrence residents by completing projects in their neighborhoods.

Interested in being a Job Site?
Be one of our hundreds of local job sites this year and register to have service done at your residence, church, community center or more! Our volunteers can do any job that do not involve power tools and are safe to be completed. Jobs typically include gardening, yard work, cleaning out garages, painting, etc.
